TELEVISION PRODUCTION INTERNSHIP
Students will be selected from submissions of the NBC Universal National Essay Contest to participate in a weeklong internship in New York, where they will work side-by-side with television professionals to learn about the entire process of creating television. Participants will learn "how the heck television gets made," by receiving a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work on any aspect of the process from script to screen through all the stages including: |
- Development
- Pre-production
- Production
- Post-production
- On air promotion
|
In addition, students will be able to experience actual television development by interacting on the set of an NBC Universal production.
Winners will be announced the week of May 21, 2007. Students and a parent or guardian will receive air-fare and accomodations.
At the end of the internship, the students will introduce and screen their work for family members, NBC Universal Cable executives, press and members of the cable community at a post-internship event.
